Description:
The press presentation for the CHANEL CAMBON LINE was held at the Roppongi Izumi Garden Gallery on January 30th, 2004. Standard Series did the space design for the event area including the image visuals for giving a form to the overall atmosphere of the display areas. In 1921 COCO CHANEL opened her first boutique on the Rue de Cambon at what is now the location of CHANEL’s flagship store and corporate headquarters. The Cambon Line takes its name from that street and like the street it has soft yet strong character featuring quilted leather and the double ‘C’ mark. It is the line that fixes a modern elegant touch to the CHANEL tradition. The display stage was boldly designed as a big capital ‘C’ with a 360° screen above. The one and only image visual was projected onto the screen without any right or left cutoff giving a full all around encompassing presentation. It was of such quality (even though it was an experimental visual) as to be a work of art in and of itself and was the premier spot for only one day. We at Standard Series took care not only of the image visual but were also responsible for the overall handling of the creative direction and we succeeded in providing a total high quality event space.
