Most know Osceola County as one of the world’s greatest vacation
destinations. Home to endless theme parks, gourmet restaurants and is now
one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. What most don’t know,
even current residents, is that the growth covers the landscape that was
once a vast area of beautiful, green, livestock pastures used by our pioneer
families. I have created this book to educate people on the rich heritage that
is vanishing. Inside you’ll find a letter from cattle ranch families to give you
an insight on their history, photographs and newspaper clippings, and finally
two different maps, one from today, and one from yesterday, 1959.
