Rainbows

These three photographs are from a much larger series, called Studies for Rainbows. Titled "studies" because I see these photographs as precursors to work I'm completing under a project titled Rainbows, which will be documented at rainbows.adrian-clement.com when it begins to develop in the next couple of months. Inspired by the "De Stijl" movement, formalism and Kasimir Malevich, with the idea of making the pure elements of photography (i.e. color, line, form etc) the subject matter. Furthermore, I used my mac's inbuilt web-camera to take these photos as a way of utilising unconventional media (i.e. the camera). In this way, I was also inspired by Patrick Pound's camera-phone work.
