Getty take another step towards global domination.

I've tried to think of some positives from this deal, from Millenniums point of view. One might be that Getty will charge their normal rates for the sale of Flickr images. This may close the window of opportunity for designers using Flickr images for next to nothing. I've seen covers using flickr images-that the photographer has provided simply for the thrill of having his/her image used.

I think also the move will also anger Getty's professional photographers. An influx of thousands of amateur images from Flickr will certainly have a knock on effect to their royalties.
