JOB SUMMARY – Junior Web Designer

CentreSource has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Web Designer. The ideal candidate is well versed in Photoshop and experienced in all manners of web-design elements, such as the design and layout of buttons, links, menus, and text. The Web Designer's primary duties will be to help the design team plan, brainstorm, design, and manage the design needs of our company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work closely with Senior Designers and Application Developers to create beautiful websites and user-friendly web applications
- Work with clients to Design Logos, Websites, and Digital Advertisements (Graphic Design)
- Transform Content Management & Blogging applications to dynamically manage content, site structure, and other media elements into online works of art

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Strong portfolio with a clear range of work
- Graphic-design skills, including fluency in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Creativity, imagination, and an intuitive artistic sense
- Knowledge of layouts, design fundamentals, and the ability to sketch/storyboard or render ideas
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Ability to self manage, make evaluative judgments, maintain work ethic, and communicate effectively

Desirable:

- Proficiency with Flash and ActionScripting
- Familiarity with Drupal or other Content Management System
- Strong Writing Ability
- Programming Experience (PHP/MySQL, other)
