Do you have a passion for entertainment on the Web? Do you know the ins and outs of social networking, online video, and the new social media revolution? Do you also have a healthy amount of skepticism in the growing internet bubble 2.0? And most importantly, do you have a passion for building world-class products that can change an industry?

We’re hiring one excellent Web Designer to join our web application development team. Do you visit A List Apart every day? Do you take pride in hand-coding writing HTML? Do you have only a dim memory of using tables for layout. If the answer is yes, we’d like to talk to you. The successful candidate will work closely with product management and engineers, and will be responsible for the design and development front-end UI for web applications and components.

Requirements:
• 3+ years experience with, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Exceptional design skills and visual style
• Ability to write standards-compliant, accessible and complex CSS, XHTML and JavaScript
• Can develop production-level code as well as proof-of-concepts and UI
prototypes.
• Experience developing client-side, interaction layer code while working with
back-end engineers on web applications.
• Experience with AJAX frameworks desired
• Familiarity with unobtrusive JavaScript and progressive enhancement a plus.

Candidates will not be considered without an online portfolio showing examples of relevant work.
