Those were my thoughts when my mother gave me this book as a birthday present this year.

I was very surprised and pleased when I began to read.

Every designer has started from somewhere and every designer hears about the famous/successful/popular designers and wants to be like them. This book gives a great insight into the beginnings and inspirations from some of the greatest designers and I guess the most inspiring thing for me was the fact that these big-name designers have started from similar points and have gone through all the shit to get where they are now. For me it just made me feel like I'm on the right track.

Give it a read if you are after a a bit of inspiration.

Don't give it a read if you are after a secret to becoming a "great graphic designer".
