I am just starting on this site, and I am a "student" but not at any school.
Right now, I am concentrating on some basics, on some reading, on observing my local art scene and trying to slowly get involved in the local arts council. I am also going to break open my art supplies and actually use them 2-4 days a week. I work almost full time, so I get a bit tired. But I've lacked a certain focus for quite a while, so hope this helps.
I have some good basic foundations, and a lifetime of watching, reading, some doing, observation, and I know a smattering about this, that and the other thing.
I am reading a basic art history book because I've not done much for years in the art field and feel a need to sort of "brush" up on what I do know.
My favorite design related site? I've a few, but right now colourlovers is definitely a must visit.
