Polyglot
| October 20, 2007

I realized the other day that my interest in non-Western typography may have its root in a study, so many years ago, of Polyglot Bibles. The most well-known of these is the Complutensian Polyglot, printed in Spain about 1514. These Polyglots are good examples of complex information design from centuries ago. And also monumental achievements in typesetting and printing.
