A native of Los Angeles, Chris is also a resident of Otherness; a place we know as familiar but extraordinary, comprehensible but unimaginable.

Chris discovered his love of photography 25-years-ago. It became his life's passion, the medium of his art, while the rich and strange otherness of B&W photography became his special obsession.

Christopher Voelker is a California-raised studio photographer who lives with his wife Melanie & Smeagol & Zizzles the two Sphynx cats in their studio and loft. Together they have launched a cottage industry, Sphynx Cat Wear, internationally known for creative wardrobe for hairless cats not just as dressing up, but as clothing that keeps cats with the hairless mutation warm. The felines have attended more studio shoots than most humans could ever imagine.
