Phaidon + Wallpaper* City Guide iPhone App

Following Phaidon's success with the Wallpaper* City Guide print series, their "top 10 bestselling Wallpaper* City Guides" are now available on iTunes. The international cities include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Milan, Rome and Tokyo. The retail cost for one Wallpaper* City Guide is $3.99 but the Berlin edition is currently offered as a free download. Phaidon was kind enough to send an invite code for the New York edition my way.



The locations included in the app are curated with a keen eye for design, as one would expect from Wallpaper*.  For the New York edition, don't expect to find the number for a Super 8 hotel or Corner Bistro. But, with just a few thumb taps one can find the design-chic Ace Hotel. The content is all about style and spares no expense. From restaurants, spas, hotels, museums, to high-end shops, there is an emphasis on ambiance, modern architecture, and beautiful interior spaces. Finding tidbits of architectural history from a design perspective sprinkled throughout is a highlight.
