Record Album Cover Designs by S. Neil Fujita

I rediscovered the work of graphic designer, S. Neil Fujita, while browsing through In the Groove: Vintage Record Graphics 1940-1960 by Eric Kohler. Best known for his jacket design for Capote’s In Cold Blood and the logo design for the Godfather, I particularly admire the design work he did while employed as the art director for CBS Records. In 2007, Steven Heller conducted an insightful interview with S. Neil Fujita entitled Waxing Chromatic.
