Logo Wit
I am impressed by logos that seamlessly marry the most incompatible relationships, in this case I found "Seagate". It marrys a sea and a gate (duh). It ALSO moves the logo forward, but in both a clockwise direction with the wave, and in a counter-clockwise direction with the portal (although the portal moves forward, it also moves down and in). And, finally, hidden but hinted at is a nod to the yin-yang symbol.

Planes, Trains, and the air
I love airplanes. I used to want to be an aeronautical engineer. Anyways, i always love how incredible something like this is, where it captures VISUALLY the interaction the machine and it's speed affecting sound and vapor.

Sorry, it's my first inspiration. I'm like a wet baby crying for my first breath.
I think this is gorgeous. It's copyrighted C. Doswell. So don't steal it.
